Tested Positive

… and …

furk.

I tested positive for Covid again.
(2x in Hawaii)
(3x in California)

David went out to get a LOT of pedalyte as I cannot hold water or food down. I was sick with what I thought was severe allergies for 7 days now, so hence doctor’s visit yesterday, but it lookslike I have Covid not allergies. (Dave was sick about 14 days ago with just fever and bad cough. But he never tested for Covid. David has never gotten Covid.)

I did not think it was Covid because my last 4x have presented with horrible diarrhea.

I am finally feeling better. Finally. I was sick my first week here. Then, I had a massive allergy attack that was only subdued by Zyrtec.

I have my first doctor’s appointment on Monday for two reasons:

(1) To get help for my allergies

(2) To ask to start up counseling for my first marriage.

I do not know how to upload pictures using my cell phone. hmmm…

Still recovering. I will try to post more with the computer soon.

Saturday N? D?

I am sick. Of course! Of course I would get sick! ???? … But we are in.

Brook is using her litterbox. Praise God. She loves this place.

Why is everything here so filthy? I literally scrub my floors everyday with bleach wipes. I get the rusted doors as we are right on the beach … but the

  1. Fly traps that are full and haven’t been changed in a month.
  2. The lack of drainage in the bathrooms that causes black mold to grow.
  3. I do not even know where a safe place to wash my hands is as there is pubic hair along most of the bathroom sinks.
  4. I do not know of a safe place to wash Brook’s dishes.
  5. The 26 or more feral cats wandering around — I have only seen one marked as neutered. God. You can smell there spray everywhere.
  6. Did I mention that when you try to wait for the bathroom– you get covered in flies? Dozens!!!
  7. Some people have dogs, but they di not clean up their dog shit. There is dog shit all around the area. I do not see any poop scoop plastic baggies.
  8. The feral cats jump into the trash cans and pull litter out.

I am too sick to think of more. It is NOT Covid. Just sick.

Church tomorrow no matter what as YMCA clean shower is there.

Well … Dave’s friend literally kicked a hornet nest. Literally. When he found out we still were not housed — he called a few people and got them all on board.

Soooo …

Well.

We are in a shelter …. dear God … a bed for both of us …
a bathroom that I am absolutely terrified about (black mold all over ceiling and down two walls).

…. There is a door. And a security door. Brook is eating and drinking. We tried to make her a cave. The first time she peed, she peed on the absorbance pad (perfectly OK with both of us — it has been a long day.)

We anointed the unit. I am taking benadryl for my allergies and going to bed!

I think it is N14 D14. (It is Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.)

I got my taxes filed. JG and I agreed that I’ll use turbotax and he’ll use an accountant to file. This was a very, very, very complicated tax return on my part.

But it is done.

My body is killing me today. Dave was sick the last two days. But last night he started double dipping on Robittusin DM and Mucinex (spelling is wrong on that). So he slept. I woke up about 3x during the night unable to move my knees or ankes (as my sleeping position was very ackward and those parts of my body fell asleep). I also had to pee 3x. And Brook (our cat) jumped up on me to give me to ask for pets and affection 3x. (I think “cranky bitch” described my mood today.)

We went to the YMCA. I could barely work out. We got free food from an outreach at Safeway (chicken curry). I went nuts. I guess the one good thing about being homeless is that my salt addiction is GONE.

There is supposed to be very terrible storms tonight and tomorrow. bleeehhhh …. At least tomorrow is laundry day. (Wednesday and Saturdays are our laundry days.)

hmmm … what else? …..

I got a call back from Wendy’s. So more than likely I’ll start that job in the next two weeks. It is NOT a lot of income, but it will allow us to live still at the parking lot in the church until we can move into an apartment complex. Even working there just twenty hours a week, will put our income above the 50k mark — meaning that we will qualify for any one bedroon apartment. That Wendy’s is also located about 200 yards from our sleep spot.

Dave will not move to the Waikiki area at all. I started talking with the other homeless who also live in the same area as us. One man, Jr …. stated that Waikiki is safe for a woman if you do NOT go out of your apartment at night. Any job I work will require me to exit or enter my apartment in the dark. But Waikiki is very dangerous according to the local people that are houseless. There is a LOT of gang activity there, drug dealing and umm … shootings.

I.e. If you are coming to visit me ever, do NOT stay in Waikiki.
