Updates 2.0

  1. I am officially off caffeine. (cheers) It was super difficult, but I no longer get headaches throughout the day and/or evening.
  2. I am dreaming a lot about trains (errrr riding in a train). It is odd. I do not remember many train dreams throughout my life. I think last night was the third night in a row.
  3. We have Whisper’s (the cat) date for surrender. She has a check-in appointment on the 27th. Oddly enough, that is the same day Dave’s eviction process returns to court. Looks like that is our move out date.

Surrender

Wednesday, January 18th, 2023

Dave and I woke up yesterday. I brought up the conversation first …. There is no way we can keep a 16-year-old cat with us in the car. None.
Dave said he woke up feeling the same way.

We are going to surrender her to a no-kill shelter. (I actually cannot find a kill shelter in Hawaii.) But Dave is going to pay for the cost to surrender her. Then we found out. There may not be any space. Now we are waiting the 72-hours until someone contacts him about that form.

And no one in the church will take her. I suggested putting her in a box outside the church on a Sunday morning. … “Please adopt me.” …

Funny how no one can give anything …

… More ironic. I never seem to go somewhere and it settles. I seem to bring destruction everywhere I go.

  1. This last weekend, we got everything out of the house and into a U-haul storage unit. My body is still very sore. Thankfully, we had 7 people show up to help us — 5 of which were very strong and from 2 different military branches. … Everything of value is out. Safely stored. And the U-haul guy was so awesome. He only charged me for a one day rental. And gave me a nice gas income back (as I got the truck on “E” and returned it over “1/2” full).
  2. We are currently living in the house still.
  3. Today I got my paperwork that showed I was enrolled in medicaid. I called to have the HMSA transferred to “Kaiser” only. (Kaiser is way better care overall. It might cost me a little each month, but the better health care and best emergency room on Oahu will be worth it.) I’ll be enrolled in Kaiser next month! (I am still currently enrolled in HMSA if a crisis happens. I doubt it will.)

Online U-haul reservation

Wednesday, January 11th, 2023

We have a little left to pack. Just a few hours worth. We were in Honolulu yesterday nearby my future storage unit. I asked to stop in the U-haul. The employee there was like “Oh, you made this reservation over the phone. Let me verify the information.” He then researched my reservation and found out that U-haul (over the phone) sold me a storage unit that did NOT exist. He then cancelled that reservation and gave me a bigger unit for a cheaper cost (as their phone reservation system screwed up).

I am so glad I stopped in the store in person. I also bought a lock for the unit — it was sitting next to me on the counter as the guy checked information.

Why is Friday always an

errand day? Is it because I want to have my weekends off? That I want to sleep in on Saturday because Dave is running the sound board and recording on Sunday at church.

slllleeeeeppppppp

So we ran to the bank, a notary, UPS store (where my mailbox is — I had my first piece of mail), Target, the US Postal Service … and I was completely depleted.

Probably because I am still fighting caffine headaches. Glad to be going through them now than next week.

I also can get my measly payout from working at WinCo next Tuesday. It isn’t much, but it will help get me towards my storage unit.

Headaches stink.
